Gold, Silver Prices Up; US Bullion Coins Unchanged

Gold closed higher Thursday, recovering a portion of its losses from Wednesday. April gold prices gained $9.90, or 0.6% to $1,741.20 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Gains were attributed mostly to a weaker U.S. dollar.

Gold and Silver Prices Retreat, Bullion Coin Sales Ride High

A bout of profit taking was in the mix Wednesday as gold fell after soaring during the previous session. April gold prices added $17.10, or 1% to $1,731.30 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Gold ranged from $1,726 an ounce to $1,712.60 an ounce to $1,754.80 an ounce.

Gold Prices Rebound 1.4%, Bullion Coin Sales Solid

A weaker U.S. dollar and bargain-hunting were cited reasons for gains in gold prices Tuesday. After two straight session losses, April gold futures rebounded $23.50, or 1.4% to $1,748.40 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Gold prices traded between $1,712.60 an ounce and $1,752.60 an ounce.

Gold Prices Advance for 3rd Day, American Eagle Bullion Sales Rise

U.S. gold prices climbed Thursday for a third consecutive day and touched an intraday peak that was the highest for gold since Dec. 2. April gold futures gained $9.80, or 0.6%, to $1,759.30 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. The aforementioned two-month high was $1,763.80 an ounce.
