Gold and Silver Prices Lower on Week, US Bullion Coins Dip

Bullion prices were lower again this week — gold marked its third weekly loss and silver its fourth. Sales of U.S. Mint bullion coins were also slower than the previous week.

Bullion prices declined across the board for a second straight week. On Friday, December gold lost $20.70, or 1.2%, to settle at $1,724.00 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.


Gold Logs 0.6% Weekly Loss, Sales of US Bullion Silver Coins Weaken

All precious metals in New York settled lower Friday and for the week — it was silver’s second straight weekly loss. In percentages, losses this week were 1.2% for gold, 2.6% for silver, 3.6% for palladium and 2.8% for platinum.


Gold Prices Slightly Higher On Week, Bullion Silver Coins Up 1.2M

U.S. bullion stepped lower Friday but only silver was down on the week — less than one cent. In other weekly performances, gold prices rose a modest 0.4% while palladium rallied 3.5% and platinum jumped 2.3%.
